About the role
We are seeking an Senior Electrical/Electronics Engineer to join our Product Development group, and be part of a team with a passion for entrepreneurship and design, and a desire to create meaningful new products and services.
The Purpose of the Senior Electrical/Electronics Engineer role is to develop electronics hardware and perform associated product development activities. Working in a team of varied disciplines, you would be relied upon to provide advice, design and analysis for the electronics side of a product to help IDE provide the best outcome for their clients.
Since there are many aspects to product development, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow throughout the entire product development journey, and not always need to be focused on Electronics designs.
Day to day:
- Designing and developing products from concept right through to market
- Collaborate with stakeholders and team members in an effective way
- Effective use of quality standards
- Use development expertise in electronics hardware
- The role will be hands on and highly technical
About you
Desired Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate will have experience in the design of electronics to support medical imaging systems, particularly MRI systems
- A degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related field, or an applicable technical discipline
- Experience collaborating on problems within a multi-disciplinary R&D environment
- Good analogue and digital circuit design skills
- Ability to communicate engineering approach from requirements through to execution
- Proven product development skills and experience from concept right through to delivery
- Experience designing products under design control processes, preferably to strict safety regulations and safety-critical standards: e.g. Medical, Automotive, Defence, and Rail etc.
- Strong familiarity with eCAD packages (preferably Altium), including schematic capture, PCB layout and component management
- Experience in or exposure to QMS accredited to ISO 13485, ISO 9001 or similar is essential
