We specialise in tackling open-ended problems, especially in the early stages of a project. While many clients come to us with solutions to their understanding of the problem, we step back to fundamentally understand and test the problem-solution relationship. We understand that in effective product development, understanding the problem co-evolves with the development of the optimal solution in an iterative process. We seek to streamline the path to effective problem definition and optimal solution development.

Human-Centred Approach

Medical devices are complex because many different people interact with them in the process of delivering care. Traditional methods of development focus on the devices user, where as we consider the needs and preferences of all the key people that may interact with the device. From the user, be it patient, clinician or carer, to the nurse, the hospital technician or service personnel.

Explore Using Fundamentals

Rather than following what has come before, we look to deconstruct a problem and its potential solutions down to their core elements, from which we can then build novel integrated solutions. This approach enables us to create valuable solutions even in unfamiliar fields, clearly distinguishing between options that are worth pursuing and those that are not.
